FACILITY
Soy Products (Sales) Pty Ltd specialises in the milling and manufacture
of a range of raw and heat-treated whole bean, full fat (non extracted)
soy flours and soy grits. All our soy flours and grits are manufactured
from non GMO Australian grown soybeans. Our processes are carefully
monitored to ensure we provide products with consistent functionality
and physical characteristics.
BLENDING
FACILITY
The gluten free dry blended range of retail products is sold under
our F.G. Roberts brand. With these products we constantly strive
to increase the dietary fibre and lower the levels of sugar, fat,
and sodium while improving the functionality and consistent performance
of the products.
Soy Products
(Sales) Pty Ltd entire milling and blending facility is dedicated
gluten and wheat free. To avoid any risk of cross-contamination,
there are no wheat, barley, oats, rye, triticale or spelt grains
or their by-products on site.
All of Soy Products
(Sales) Pty Ltd and F G Roberts brand products are derived totally
from plant materials.
CORPORATE
PHILOSOPHY
Soy Products (Sales) Pty Ltd has faithfully maintained Robert's
philosophy of whole, minimally processed foods. No artificial flavours,
flavour enhancers, colours, emulsifiers, fumigants or preservatives
etc are used on site.
Soy Products
(Sales) Pty Ltd is opposed to the introduction and use of G.M.O.
foods. We believe they pose a public health and safety risk and
that they have not been tested rigourously enough.
Soy Products
(Sales) Pty Ltd became a Biological Farmers of Australia Co-op Ltd
(BFA) Certified Organic Processor (No 3007P) in August 2002. The
certification applies to both blending and milling operations.
Soy Products
(Sales) Pty Ltd takes its environmental responsibilities seriously.
It is actively engaged in energy and water conservation and is a
signatory to the National Packaging Covenant.
LEGAL
ENTITY
Soy Products (Sales) Pty. Ltd. is a family owned and operated company.
The company was purchased in 1954 from Mr. F.G. Roberts (1892-1977)
a renowned Naturopath, Dietitian and Chiropractor who started the
business in 1932 in Chapel Street, East St. Kilda. In 1936 Roberts
began manufacturing the first soy based foods for human consumption
in Australia using imported American soy ingredients. The company
has not used imported soybeans since the early 1960s.
