Chickpea Flour Dehulled Stabilised 500g

FG Roberts Gluten Free Dehulled Chickpea Flour has been steam stabilised to give an extended shelf life and has been deliberately dehulled to remove the salicylate containing husk to give a smooth creamy mouth feel with a characteristic chickpea flavour. This product can used in general baking to add colour, flavour and texture and for dusting benches when making bread to give an interesting crust and texture.

If parboiled potatoes are rolled in the flour prior to roasting they take on a golden colour and a crisp texture. Chickpea flour contains a high proportion of carbohydrates but no gluten. Despite this, in comparison to other flours, it has a relatively high proportion of protein. It is a legume and some people may experience fermentation difficulties with the natural oligosaccharide content
